Answers based on a December 2007 survey Gresham conducted amongst 100 storage professionals. |
1. TRUE OR FALSE: 77% of the storage industry professionals surveyed said that if they do not change their current backup infrastructure within the next year, they will not be able to manage their current growth.
2. TRUE OR FALSE: 25% revealed they use both tape and disk for their backup storage media, further emphasizing that tape is not dead, and nor is it going anywhere.
3. TRUE OR FALSE: 74% said they had between one and five virtual tape library appliances currently.
4. TRUE OR FALSE: The most critical backup problems participants have is backup times exceed the backup window, the need for faster recovery options, and the inability for backup management to keep up with data growth.
